If you are unhappy with any aspect of your life, you will not be able to change anything until you get crystal clear on what it is that you want, what would make you happy. Clarity is the first step in bringing your desires from the mental realm to the physical. If you decide you are hungry, you will not get very far in rectifying that if you cannot make a decision on what you want to eat. If you are unhappy, you cannot get happy until you decide what would make that a possibility. This idea of clarity is incredibly obvious and simple -- as are many of the basic principles of being happier -- yet so many people lack it. Clarity gets the wheels of the universe turning and you will be presented with ways to get what you want; it might even be as simple as a strong urge to go to a certain website or walk down a certain aisle in the library you never visit and you find a piece of information that you need right at this very moment to advance your desires. Clarity also gives you a sense of purpose.
Just as important as knowing what you want is why you want it. If you desire to work for yourself, why? If you feel passionate about entering a certain line of work, why? If you want your future partner to have specific traits, why? Getting clear on why you want the things you want is paramount because the ''why'' will help keep you motivated to make your desire a reality. It will keep you on track with the mental and physical work you must undertake to reach your goal.

Hi KC,
ReplyDeleteMore super inspiration.
I generate many "a-ha" moments by following what I want. The Universe places me in situations where opportunity screams at me, but only after I've listened to the small, still voice which leads me in the direction of what I am wanting.
Is it uncomfortable to follow your wants? At first, hell yeah. We are programmed to think about what we don't want. Wants are usually in the "can't have it", or "must be nice", level of thinking.
Be uncomfortable Forget about what you don't want. Focus on what you want, why you want it, and get it.
Thanks for sharing your inspiration KC!
