The Dangers of Logical Thinking

Logical thinking surely has its place...it helps us figure out problems, do things with greater efficiency and can help calm us when our irrational minds get churning about certain things. It also has its dangers, however. The need to figure out things logically is probably the number one dream killer worldwide.

For most of us, so many of the things we desire seem impossible because we cannot logically figure out how the heck they will ever happen. The first step to getting what you want starts in your mind and once you get clear and focus, you would be amazed at the opportunities that present themselves to you, things you could have never logically anticipated happening. You never know who you will meet or what kind of information you will come across that helps you reach your goal. Clarity helps you set intentions, incredibly powerful. things. Living with intention brings the things you need to you in ways you could have never saw coming.

You have no idea the million ways that will set the stage for your dreams coming to reality. If you try to use logic, you will stop even before you start. Sure, this way of thinking is not common and it might seem uncomfortable to you, but you need to have faith that there is something larger at work and that you can harness this energy to bring the things that you want to you in ways you cannot even begin to know. I say this with confidence because that has been my experience and experience is all the proof I need that something exists.

A few years ago, my life was riddled with issues and things seemed really bleak for awhile, but I knew it was temporary and I made my intentions clear. So many of the things that helped carry me from crappy point A to wonderful point B were things I could have never anticipated and if I let my logical mind take over, I probably would not be in beautiful Phuket, Thailand right now. I would probably be working in some office, hating my job. Do you see how I keep bringing up that you have no idea how things will happen? I am really trying to drill this one home.

Really think hard about what you want and when you start feeling that uncomfortable feeling of not knowing how you will actually get it, kick it out. It is none of your business how it will happen; know that is being taken care of. Your only job is to hold the vision and surround it with good energy.

  1. Hi KC,

    Well said!

Logical thinking can be a dream stealer. The thinking mind is capable of only so much, and if you try to connect the dots when planning a spectacular life, you are doomed.

Listen to the small, still voice and tell your logical mind to shut the hell up when the whining starts.

Thanks for sharing your wisdom with us!
